On Thursday, June 8th, 2017, the Class of 2017 entered the Del Auditorium one last time to receive their high school diplomas. On behalf of all of the staff at the College, we want to congratulate the 166th graduating class on all that they have achieved during their time at Del, and wish them good luck on their future endeavors.

Today is your day. Yes, it's all about you and I'm sure for many of you are just loving hearing that, although your parents are probably thinking that it's been all about you for the past 17 years or so. In saying that, graduates please offer gratitude to your families for all of their support to get you here today.
I'm Ally Hancock and this is my last day wearing my Del uniform. And if I'm being completely honest, that's a very heavy thought. It forces me to reflect on my Del experience, and when I do that, I am reminded of a saying that you have probably heard: "What makes a place truly great are not the walls themselves, but the people within them." This adequately describes my time at Del because if it were not for the friends I have made, or the staff who have supported me, I doubt I would have survived.
On Friday, June 2, Del celebrated the player and team achievements for the 2017 Spring season during the morning Athletic Assembly. Two individual awards are given out per team, one for Most Valuable Player and the other for the William Markle Award.
We have much to celebrate! What a year it has been, indeed. I have to begin by offering my gratitude, once again, for the tremendous support I have received in my first year at De La Salle. Each day I witness, more and more, what a blessing it has been to have had God lead me to this wonderful community.
