The Fine Arts Department hosted the Gr. 5 and 6 students and staff of St. Paul Catholic School on Wednesday, June 19th. This annual day of fun included workshops in visual art, music, and even badminton. The association between their school/parish and De La Salle go back to the arrival of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Toronto over 160 years ago. In the visual art workshop they had the chance to experience working with oil pastels with Ms. Domingues. During the music workshop, they got in to drumming with Mr. Thompson and his crew. And finally, they headed to the Del gym to play some badminton with Coach Lue Tam. Perhaps the highlight of the day was the pizza lunch (and a day away from regular school)!! In all seriousness, it was a day of community and a taste of high school in the Lasallian tradition, and it was certainly a "fine" way to finish the school year.
