A Prayerful Pause during De La Salle’s Passion Play

The Passion Play is a dramatic presentation depicting the Passion of Jesus Christ: his trial, suffering and death. It is a traditional part of Lent in several Christian denominations, particularly in Catholic tradition.

Last week, the Grades 10 and 11 Drama Students staged a Passion Play of their own for the school community, the first of its kind at De La Salle. Conceived by Mr. Luchka, the Play began with a tableau of The Last Supper. Jesus, portrayed with great humility by Connor Cutler, addresses his disciples and announces that one of them will betray him.
