The Founder’s hope of helping the needy, the disadvantaged, is the very ideal of every altruist who pushes back the darkness, who understands the compelling need to advance civility and thereby crush the impulses of greed and selfishness. Nothing has changed since La Salle founded the Order so long ago. His ideal, to educate poor children, is still our ideal today. We are continually trying to increase the number of our students on bursary as part of our effort to help correct the world’s neglectful blunders. Revolutions are not helpful. Sharing is better. The good news is that we are succeeding, as every year the amount given to the fund increases. Last year our grads, friends and families donated $41,000. This year, on May 15, the amount given was close to $ 50,000, enough for three bursaries. It was an exciting day in our office as we watched the numbers climb higher and higher. So, we are happy to report to you a healthy and growing stream of charitable giving. We pray it continues.
