Our Faith

Br. Domenic Viggiani- President

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and the conviction of things we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)

From the very beginning of the establishment of the Christian schools by St. John Baptist De La Salle and the early Brothers the school has been viewed as a means of salvation. It is, therefore, a fundamental aspect of our school community to encourage all its members – students, teachers, support staff and parents, to grow into closer union with the Blessed Trinity by viewing all things with the eyes of faith.

Faith is the path to God. It is through a life of faith that we become saints. The vocation of all believers is to become our best selves in the eyes of God. Without faith we can never learn to trust in God.

We begin by seeking the Kingdom of God. We love our neighbour as ourselves. We sincerely try to learn Catholic teaching. We do something each day to draw nearer to Our Blessed Mother. We make frequent use of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We freely forgive others. We endeavour at Holy Mass to enter deeply into its beauty. We prepare ourselves to receive worthily the Eucharist. We become people who are grateful and cheerful. We become men and women of prayer.
The call to membership in our school community is a call to goodness. Faith and zeal help us to be good.

Rosary Making in Community Time

This year during community time one of the activities all junior school students will be participating in is making rosaries.  Students will learn about praying the rosary in their regular religion programme, but in community time Mr. Iacobazzi is teaching them how to assemble their own rosary and at the same time serve the wider Church.
