Visual and Media Arts

Visual Arts students grow creatively by exploring and participating in the local art scene, connecting to art that is beyond that which is found in textbooks, and seek opportunities to interact with contemporary practicing artists.  Students reach beyond the four walls of a studio space by exhibiting their artwork in the hallways, online newsletters, promotional materials, in art shows and virtual galleries hosted by the school, and in art competitions throughout the city.

Other opportunities are available for students to share their artistic skills. The Art Club meets weekly to create work that goes beyond the classroom; fruits of the students' labour can be seen in permanent murals inside and outside the school.

Program Highlights:

• Graduate Art Exhibition
• AP Student Art Portfolio
• Short Film Festival
• Artist-In-Conversation series

Program Objectives

Graduate Art Exhibition

For over two decades, The De La Salle Graduate Art Exhibition has showcased original student works of traditional art and digital media and celebrates the many creative talents of our graduating students. Many of the graduates exhibiting their work pursue post-secondary studies in fine arts, architecture, fashion, photography, design, short film, documentary, and animation.

We are very proud of our students' artistic skills and unique vision:
