January Reflection from Brother Domenic | After the feast of the Epiphany, we emerge from the Christmas season and the great celebrations connected with the Nativity. Decorations are removed, the crèche is dismantled and the last sounds of carols have been stored away for another year. The Solemnity of the Feast of the Holy Mother of God, which ushers in the new year and our Lord's Presentation in the Temple lead us to the period of time of Jesus' life that goes from childhood, boyhood to adulthood – the so-called hidden life at Nazareth before his public ministry. | |
|
| | Happy New Year. For so many of us, January brings upon the excitement of New Year's Resolutions, fresh starts and plans to become better versions of ourselves. For others, January brings upon the dreaded thoughts and anxieties of exams. | |
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas break to provide you and your family with many special moments with family and friends. We are excited about all the promise and potential that 2017 will bring in the Junior School.
