Take Your Kids to Work Day

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 has been designated as "Take Our Kids to Work Day." This is an annual voluntary program sponsored by the Learning Partnership in which Grade 9 students are hosted by parents, relatives and volunteers at workplaces across the country.

According to the Learning Partnership Association, the Program helps students see and experience real workplaces and professions first hand as opposed to what they may perceive based on their experiences from discussions with others, television, movies and media. Each day, De La Salle College promotes the importance of diligence and commitment in academics and various other components of school in order to be prepared to enter Post-Secondary Institutions and the Workplace.

If your place of employment has scheduled activities for the day and you would like to have your child participate and accompany you to work on November 14, we ask that you complete the attached form and return it to the College no later than Friday, October 26, 2018.

In the past, a small number of students have participated, and we ask to be informed in advance of their absence. Classes will continue as regularly scheduled and students who are absent will be responsible for the completion of all assignments, tests, and homework.
