Over 120 current students out of a total of 680 receive financial assistance. There is no greater honour to our Founder who established schools for the service of the disadvantaged than to make a gift to support the education of students who otherwise would not be able to access a human and Catholic education of excellence in the Lasallian tradition.

The Father Michael Luchka Scholarship
The scholarship was established by the College in memory of the late Father M. Luchka to be awarded to deserving students entering at any grade level. It is intended to assist families who are unable to afford a private Catholic school education of excellence. Awards are given to those young people who demonstrate a willingness to involve themselves in community service projects. Proceeds from the annual Father Michael Luchka Golf Tournament are directed to this scholarship.
The De La Salle Alumni Hockey League will begin on Wednesday, September 19, and continue on Wednesdays from 8:00-9:00 pm. At this year’s Del Alumni Baseball Game an extremely talented group of players gathered and demonstrated that they can still play at the highest level as evidenced through their playing days at Del and their participation in this tournament throughout the years. Once again, a one run ball game – team ‘old’ defeating team ‘young’ in the 10th inning. MVP trophies went to Aaron Cumal and Matt Scanzano. Brendan Lynch received a prize for hitting the longest home run. After the game was played, Mr. Mason hosted a BBQ and John Voutsinos, along with his teammate, Howard Finewax, were victorious taking the most prestigious ‘Washers tournament’ with some precision tosses. Thanks to everyone for participating.
