Welcome Alumni

It is our privilege and honour to be involved on a daily basis with the alumni of De La Salle College, as this is a place where great memories have been made and continue to happen each year. It is important for each of you to know that as alumni you are especially vital to the well-being of the Lasallian community and its continued presence in the City of Toronto.

This page will endeavor to serve as a portal for our alumni and keep them informed on the events for our former students and those of the school itself. The memories and friends you have had while attending De La Salle are something that will last a lifetime and we encourage you to remain active and stay in touch with us. We have multiple events taking place each year that enable alums to remain actively involved with the College and we encourage each of you to take the opportunity to come back and visit us in a place that will always be home to you.

Annual Alumni Hockey Tournament

2017 Alumni Hockey Tournament

On Friday, February 17th and Saturday, February 18th, over 70 alumni returned to De La Salle to take part in the annual Alumni Hockey Tournament in support of Skate-With-Daniel.

Daniel Bertoia ('08) lived his entire life full of enthusiasm, optimism, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others. Those who gathered at Del on the weekend honoured Daniel's memory by competing hard on the ice and sharing in a spirit of camaraderie at the Heritage House. We were privileged to have Mr. & Mrs. Bertoia join us this year to celebrate the life of Daniel.

This year's full round-robin format ensured all players were tested to their limits as most teams played at least five games over two days.

After hard-fought round-robin games and two riveting semi-final games, Team Blue and Team Green met in the Championship match. Two periods of exciting hockey settled nothing; however, in overtime, Team Blue skated away with a thrilling 3-2 victory to claim the Skate-With-Daniel trophy for 2017. The 2013 Young Guns were accompanied by some 1981 and 2002 veteran presence to ensure the victory.

We look forward to welcoming the Alumni for next year's tournament in February 2018.

Annual Alumni Soccer Tournament

2017 Alumni Soccer Tournament

Historically, the last Saturday in May is synonymous with soccer, competition and alumni. Over 80 grads participated in the annual Alumni Soccer Tournament on Saturday, May 27, 2017. After registering and receiving their team colours, players headed down to the Oaklands Stadium and played in one of the most competitive tournaments which began at 10 a.m. and featured 18 games.

The alumni finalists

After five hours of intense, exciting and competitive soccer, only the red and green teams were left standing. Towards the end of the game, the red team led two-zero. It looked like the game was theirs until the green team responded with 3 unanswered goals. Time ran out and the green team was victorious.

After the game, all the alumni went to have dinner at the heritage house. Congratulations to the green team, and to all the alumni that participated!

Del Girls Night

Del Girls Night is an annual event aimed at expanding the network of women who have graduated De La Salle.

Del Girls Night is back and better than ever! We're excited to announce the 3rd Annual Del Girls Night will be held on June 15th at the Heritage House (aka. The Brother's mansion).

This year's highlights include a silent auction with some seriously awesome items like an Equinox gym membership. There will also be a seriously rhythmic RnB soloist to set the mood.

Our special guest speaker is Carrie Kirkman, President of Brands Group Canada, former CEO Sears Canada, board member of G(irls)20.

Don't forget you can bring a friend! See you there!
