How to Apply
De La Salle College strives for a diverse student population and hopes to attract young men and women with excellent academic skills; interest in a variety of co-curricular experiences; and the potential to contribute to the school community with a positive attitude. Entrance to De La Salle College is competitive and an early application is recommended.
For the 2021 - 2022 academic year, we aim to cap class sizes from Grades 5 - 7 at 18 students per section. We will assess the number of sections required as needed.
For the 2021 - 2022 academic year, the College will be admitting 40 - 50 Grade 9 students.
Application Steps:

- Application fee is $125
- Upload the following supplementary documents:
- June 2019 and June 2020 Final Report Cards
- November 2020 Progress Report Card
- Grade 3 or 6 EQAO or Grade 4 or 7 CAT
- Additional Documents Required:
- Student Profile*: completed by a teacher, current or last year
- Student Reference*: completed by teacher, principal, coach or religious leader.
*Both documents are completed via delasalle.openapply.com
- Interview:
- Once the final report cards and the profile have been received, students will be contacted to set up an interview.
- Students will be asked to prepare an answer to question, from a Student Questionnaire, to be presented orally at the interview. Students applying to Grade 5 or Grade 6, for example, will choose a question from the Grade 5 or 6 section.
- Testing:
- Grade 5 and 6 Entry Year: Entrance Exam
- Exams will be written:
- Saturday, December 5, 2020
- In light of the unpredictable nature of future public health restrictions, we would like to take this opportunity to strongly encourage prospective students to write the Grade 5 and 6 College Entrance Exam on our December test date. Doing so will ensure that if any new restrictions necessitate the closure of our campus, your child will have a complete portfolio for our Admissions Department to consider in January when we begin preparing our first letters of offer for the 2021 – 2022 academic year.

- The exam fee is $35
- Exams will be written:
- Grade 7, 8 and 9 Entry Year: SSAT
- This test is to be written between September and December of the following year.

Doing so will ensure that if any new restrictions necessitate the closure of our campus, your child will have a complete portfolio for our Admissions Department to consider in January when we begin preparing our first letters of offer for the 2021 – 2022 academic year.
- The test is scheduled with the Enrollment Management Association (EMA) at www.ssat.org/ontario.
- This test is to be written between September and December of the following year.
- Results of the test must be forwarded directly to the College from the EMA.
- Grade 5 and 6 Entry Year: Entrance Exam
Admission decisions will be rendered no later than the third week of February via telephone and email.
