Grade 12 Meeting

On Wednesday April 27th after assembly, there will be a meeting for all Grade 12 students in the auditorium to prepare for Founder’s Day. Grade 12s please check your e-mail for more information.  

April Mark Updates

On April 22nd, all marks will be updated on Powerschool so you can see how your child(ren) are progressing. We will be sending out specific instructions closer to the date as a reminder of how to access the marks.

 OSSLT

These past couple weeks our Grade 10 and 11 students wrote the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test. Students gathered in the cafeteria or computer lab and completed the new online assessment. Congratulations to all our students for completing it! 

U.S. COLLEGE EXPO – FREE ADMISSION

To all students interested in gaining insight on the U.S. College Admissions process, including NCAA, this is an opportunity to connect with representatives from several American universities, including Columbia University.  Columbia is also offering an opportunity this summer to earn a college credit through their pre-college program for motivated high school students like YOU!  More information can be found at the event.

They are hosting one event only and pre-registration is required to guarantee your spot.

Attention Current Grade 12 Students:  Dream Scholarship Program (new) – deadline July 31st 

With a strong commitment to Diversity, Inclusion and Advancement, the DIA Team at Dream Unlimited Corp. is proud to announce the launching of the annual Dream Scholarship program.  This program aims to financially contribute to post-secondary education within a Real Estate related field (i.e. business, urban planning, sustainability, property management, real estate, etc.) for individuals who are part of the BIPOC and equity-seeking communities.

Dream will offer (3) scholarships of $3,000 each to assist with 1st year tuition.

 Objectives:

  • Offer financial assistance to students who are part of equity-seeking groups.
  • Increase awareness about Dream and the Real Estate industry to prospective students.
  • Encourage applicants/recipients to potentially join Dream through their internship program in the future.

 

The application process is open now to July 31st through Scholar Tree!

 

SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY – ST. MIKE’S HOSPITAL (UNITY HEALTH NETWORK)

The Keenan Research Summer Student Program (KRSS) is open to any Grade 12 student with a strong interest in science and intending to pursue an undergraduate degree within this field or conducting research in the future.

You will have the opportunity to work with a principal investigator (PI) and conduct research over the summer months. Depending on the case you are assigned to, some positions offer remuneration and others are volunteer experiences. Before applying, please note that you must choose an area of interest or principal investigator as outlined on their website.

Although the deadline appears to have passed, this has been extended! Act quickly to secure a spot!
