Culinary Club

Learn a life skill and get into the kitchen with Gilda! You will learn knife skills and safety, how to safely handle and store prepared food/meals, learn about sanitation/cross contamination and expiry dates, learn how to identify ingredients in packaged/prepared food for those who have allergies or sensitivity. Most importantly you will learn how to make simple quick meals, how to meal prep, recognize cuts of meats, veggies, fruits, spices and herbs, and how to read recipes and substitute ingredients. (Grade 5-8 *limited space available)
